As we are getting closer to the big day, April 8, 2024 Solar Eclipse, and wanted to get some additional information out. We still have camping sites available.

RV with electric and water hookups will be $75/ night. Tent camping will be $50/night.

We have food vendors planning to be at the fairgrounds for the event as well. Working on planning a Craft/Vendor show for the weeekend as well. On the day of the Eclipse, the University of Illinois Astronomy Club will be onsite with 6 different telescopes for viewing of the eclipse. They will also have some other activities going on to help educate people on the eclipse.

There will be a charge for parking of $10 per car for the event. All of this will be held at the Martinsville Agricultural Fairgrounds approximately 1 mile south of Interstate 70 at Exit 136. We are in the 2.19 minutes of totality coverage for the eclipse. We have lots of parking area available and clear view of the skies at the fairgrounds.

The Martinsville Agricultural Fairgrounds is home of the one time largest World’s Largest Horseshoe. There is also a very large anvil in the city park of Martinsville. Martinsville has a few good restaurants, Morgan’s Cafe and the North Place, in town for you to visit as well as the famous Moonshine store approximately 10 miles south of town. If you have any questions, please reach out to us for more information and get your sites reserved for the Eclipse!
